This is a map of every song I generated while making 4 albums with AI.

Each dot is a song. Lines connect parents to children — when I took a song and made a new version from it, that’s a line. The bright white dots are the 41 songs that made it onto the final albums.

There are 4,140 dots total. 1,166 of them were good enough to keep. 41 made the cut. That’s a 1% selection rate.

The clusters that form look like constellations. Each one is a creative session — me circling the same idea, trying to find the version that’s actually the song. Some songs took 15 generations to find. Some appeared on the first try.
